The American Eskimo has nothing to do with the Eskimo culture, in fact in the 19th century the breed was considered a trick dog. It is a small to medium sized dog, always bright white with black nose, lips and eye lids. There are three sizes of this breed; Toy 9-12 inches at the withers, Miniature over 12-15 inches at the withers, and Standard 15-19 inches at the withers. The double coat of this breed dictates regular bathing and brushing as it does shed. The AKC recognized the breed in 1994 and it competes today in the Non-Sporting Group. We combine our Tiny Ones series of hand painted, breed specific figurines with our Red flowered tea cup to create a delightful three dimensional ornament, perfect for any special occasion like birthdays or Christmas.
