The Bernese Mountain Dog originated in Switzerland where it was called “Berner Sennenhund”. The Berner is one of four varieties of Swiss Mountain Dog and the only one of those four with a long silky, double coat. Their coat is always tri-colored and does shed seasonally so it should be brushed regularly. Berners are a large, sturdy breed with a calm temperament, which makes them good for working around the farm as is their original use. The AKC recognized the breed in 1937 in the Working Group. They range in size from 23 to 27 ½ inches tall at the withers and their current use is for pulling carts, driving cattle, competing in confirmation, obedience, agility, tracking, guard dog, family companion and therapy work.
These hand painted, stone resin beauties capture the spirit of each breed with life like realism. Secures to any steel surface with the highest grade magnet available! The outside covering is made by recycling by products like shaved cow fur, rabbit fur, and chicken feathers, normally burned or buried during food processing operations. This has accomplished two gratifying goals: it has helped preserve the environment, and it has helped us create incredibly realistic likenesses of your most beloved wild animals and birds. Each magnet measures approximately 2” H X 1 ½” W X 1 ½” Deep, and vary by breed. They are individually packaged ready to give as a gift or place in your store. These unique magnets are available in dogs, birds, and animals.
