The Manx is centuries old, and originated on the Island of Man between England and Ireland. This breed can be long or short haired and has a gate that has been described like a “bunny hop”. Manx have stubby tails. One story says that a Manx was brought aboard Noah’s ark and he accidently slammed the door on its tail, cutting it off. This breed can come is several colors and patterns including white, black, brown spotted, silver tabby, and black tipped. Today the breed is still considered rare, but its popularity continues to grow.
