Now nicknamed “The American Gentleman” the Boston Terrier sports a square head, large dark eyes and distinct, easy to maintain coat coloring of black, brindle or seal, with white markings. Bostons are perfect for apartment or suburban life and are easy to train, intelligent, and loving. The AKC recognized the Boston Terrier in the Non-Sporting Group in 1893 with their weight dividing them by class from under 15 pounds; 15 but fewer than 20 pounds; and 20 not to exceed 25 pounds. Their preference to stay by their owner’s side make them the ideal companion dog.
