The Irish Setter dates back to the Spanish Armada and the Irish rebellion of 1500. It is thought this large mahogany red dog was created using a mix of the Irish Water Spaniel, Irish Terrier, English Setter, Spaniel, Pointer and some of the Gordon Setter. Being sweet-natured, trainable, stable and outgoing, this bird dog quickly became popular as a family dog. Their long, glossy, beautiful, silky coat must be groomed regularly to prevent snarls or mats. The AKC recognized the Irish Setter in the Sporting Group in 1878. This breed is unmistakable and range in size from 60 to 70 pounds with a height of 25 to 27 inches at the withers.

Measuring approximately 4” tall and 2” wide, this ornament is hand painted stone resin. Crossed Candy Canes hold up a green platform, on which we mount one of our detailed, breed specific Tiny Ones figurines. Each figurine is wearing a winter scarf and has a gold tone cord for hanging this unique decoration from your Christmas tree, or anywhere you’d like to have a little company! Individually packaged and labeled in our blister packs, ready to give as a gift, or hang in your store!
