The Leopard is known and the most secretive and elusive of the large carnivores. They are the most widespread of the large cats living in regions across both Africa and Asia. Pound for pound Leopards are also the strongest climbers and will carry, and store, large prey in the trees to avoid scavengers. Leopards come in a wide variety of coat colors and shades plus their spots are different too. Spots are circular in east Africa, but appear square in southern Africa. Female Leopards can give birth at any time of the year. Litters are usually two to three grayish colored cubs that stay with their mother for several months. Cubs are introduced to meat at 6 or 7 weeks old. Leopards are strong swimmers and are very comfortable in the water where they sometimes eat fish or crab.Using our Tiny Ones, specie specific, hand painted detailed heads; we carefully mount a gold plated post and backing so you can display your best friend as a unique pin or tie tack.
