The Scottish Terrier, as the name implies, originated in Scotland and is better known as simply the “Scottie”. This breed has a hard, wiry, weather-resistant outer coat which can be black, brindle or wheaten. The physical trait most quickly recognized in this breed is their beard, eyebrows, legs and lower body that are all long and shaggy, giving them the look of a stern old man. The Scottie was designed to chase and hunt vermin on the farm and be able to dig after their pray should they need to do so. They take their work and their life quite seriously. This breed is the only breed to have lived in the White House three times, with Presidents Roosevelt, Eisenhower and George W. Bush. The AKC recognized this breed in the Terrier Group in 1885. The ideal size of a Scottie should be 10 inches tall at the withers with a weight of 18 to 22 pounds.

Measuring approximately 4” tall and 2” wide, this ornament is hand painted stone resin. Crossed Candy Canes hold up a green platform, on which we mount one of our detailed, breed specific Tiny Ones figurines. Each figurine is wearing a winter scarf and has a gold tone cord for hanging this unique decoration from your Christmas tree, or anywhere you’d like to have a little company! Individually packaged and labeled in our blister packs, ready to give as a gift, or hang in your store!
